Protecting your privacy is fundamental to the way we do business, whether over the Internet, in a branch, over the telephone or at an ATM.
When you enter the public portion of our website, you can learn all about Emigrant: our products and services; job opportunities at Emigrant; branch and ATM locations; and other special programs offered by the bank. You do not need to provide us with any personal information.
Our server automatically collects the domain name but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web site allowing us to analyze which domain names are used to access our site, as well as evaluate anonymous aggregate information about which pages are viewed. The information we collect is used in a number of ways, such as improving the content of the website, ensuring that our site operates efficiently, and determining consumer interest in products and services
From time to time, you may provide us with certain personal information, such as your e-mail address, postal address or telephone number. This information will only be used to respond to your request.
All information we receive through the website, whether it is collected automatically or you provide it, is treated as confidential. It is not shared with any non-Emigrant organization. Information may be shared with Emigrant corporate affiliates as allowed by federal and state law.
If you are having technical problems connecting to the Internet, please contact your Internet Service Provider or online service.

To maintain the trust of our customers, we take every precaution to ensure the security of your account access and account data. EmigrantOnline™ security features-- including your user name and password--are designed to give you complete confidence when banking and paying bills online.
After 10 minutes of inactivity, you will be logged off the system automatically. This protects your privacy should you inadvertently leave your browser running while connected to your accounts.
To ensure security when transmitting account data, EmigrantOnline™ requires that you use a browser with 128-bit encryption, specifically Version 6.0 or higher of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Version 3.0 or higher of Firefox, Version 9.0 or higher of Opera or Version 3.0 or higher of Safari. If your browser doesn't meet these requirements, you will have an opportunity to upgrade online during enrollment. Upgrading is easy, and it's free.
You should never reveal your user name or password to anyone. In fact, we recommend that you change your password on a regular basis which you can easily do online.
Earlier versions of Microsoft Explorer and Netscape browser, Versions 3.0 and lower, used a less secure 40-bit encryption which refers to the number of characters that make up the security code. 40-bit encryption is not powerful enough to protect financial transactions. The 128-bit encryption required for EmigrantOnline™ is the highest and strongest level of encryption supported by the federal government for commercial use, and will ensure the protection of your account data.
